By bus:

There are racks in The Courtyard. Please note that these will be unsupervised throughout the event, so bikes are left at your own risk.

Facilities
Rooms
The main session will be held in Room 2.55 which is on the 2nd floor.
Two breakout rooms will be made available: Room 4.30 and 4.60 on the 4th floor.
Catering
The Canopy Kitchen & Courtyard - Edinburgh Futures Institute | Canopy, which can be accessed via the first floor of the building, is accessible via lifts or a side entrance off Middle Meadow Walk.

The takeaway café offers a range of sandwiches, cakes and hots drinks. Whereas the restaurant offers a wider menu that caters for all dietary needs.
Should you wish to bring a packed lunch or to buy food elsewhere, you are welcome to eat your food in any of the public spaces throughout the EFI.
Access to water
The organisers of the event will endeavour to ensure you always have access to cold drinking water. There are several publicly accessible taps where you can refill your own personal drinking containers with either cold or boiling water. Toilets
Throughout the EFI, there are accessible, gender-neutral toilets. These will be signposted and a member of the event team will always be on hand to point you in the right direction.

First aid
The EFI have trained First Aiders that we can call on should there be a need.
In the first instance, speak to a member of the team if you feel unwell or have had an accident, and they will ensure you get the correct help.
Accessibility
Edinburgh Futures Institute has several accessible entrances, accessible WC’s, braille on signage, and door handles at a level accessible for wheelchair users. There are lifts on all floors.

Wi-Fi access
There will be free Wi-Fi access available on the day should you wish to connect your device as part of the event. Wi-Fi login details will be provided on the day.
What items you may wish to bring
You may wish to bring:
Your own lunch if you do not wish to buy food on the day.
Your own water bottle to refill, although water/glasses will be provided on the day.
Your laptop / tablet etc should this contribute to your experience of the day i.e., note taking or demonstrating something as part of a session.
Safeguarding
We take the safety and comfort of all event attendees and volunteers very seriously, particularly where there are vulnerable individuals. As such, all event rooms will be ‘staffed’ with a minimum of two team members at all times.
Should you witness or experience anything that makes you concerned or uncomfortable, immediately speak to the event organisers who will identify themselves at the start of the day.
